Peace promotion

Here you will see our work throughout the boroughs of New York and Long Island to promote Peace.

In the wake of the death of George Floyd and so many others, we are currently working to #CodifyExcessForce.

Summer 2016 Gun Buyback
 

A large part of Peace Promotion is actively decreasing opportunities for crime.
 This summer, we targeted gun violence by working with the Office of the Bronx DA to aid in community outreach.  
We spread the word of the gun buyback to over 70 different agencies that work with people at-rish for incarceration
and those who are newly returned to their community after having served their time. 

Dress for Success Program
 

We have helped provide appropriate job interview clothes to agencies who work with those are both at-risk for incarceration
and for those who have returned home from prison.  We thank Bronx Connext, Bronx Works, and Stronger Fathers/Stronger Families programs
for working with us to better provide for those in need of job opportunities in their community.
 

Warrant Forgiveness Program
 

Providing Job Opportunities to the community sometimes means giving second chances.  
Through community outreach we aided to spread the word about Bronx DA run warrant forgiveness program.  
We handed out Free High School Equivalence program information to those in attendance.
We will periodically share such future events in boroughs that are hosting.

9/11 Gratitude Day
 

 Our 9/11 Gratitude Drawing collaborated with children from Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island schools.
They showed their thanks to those who keep up secure -
Our Firefighters, EMS, and Our Police.

Special thanks continues to go out to Croxley's Ale House
for helping us feed out hometown heroes.
